ryan grubbs - NW Rep

Ryan Grubbs has been in customer service and sales for majority of his life in many different industries. Ryan’s first dip into the 12-volt retail world was being a lead in the 12-volt department at Best Buy. While already being a hobbyist for years, Ryan decided to try the retail side of 12-volt. Ryan was very appreciative of the chance to learn and further himself in the industry with his time at Best Buy. There he learned the retail side and the customer needs and wants. He also became more involved with handling orders and scheduling.

After Best Buy, Ryan joined a start-up 12-volt manufacture to help market and drive sales throughout both retail and dealer platform. “Understanding both front and back ends of the industry allows me to help my customers grow their store and give advice based on real world experience.”

These attributes give Ryan the perfect experience to help further our company and to continue to grow our customer’s profitability and relevance in today’s retail environment.

Douglas DustmanN

- SW & NE Rep

“I had a shop do my first system, but I wanted more,” explained Vault Co-Founder Douglas Dustmann. His seemingly boundless enthusiasm for 12-volt started in the mid 1990’s, when he proceeded to upgrade his own stereo system. The workmanship impressed his fellow car club members, earning him the club’s “audio guy” moniker.

More than a dozen installs later, his talents were noticed by a shop owner at a local car show. The quality of his work was so impressive, he was hired as an installer. His genuine enthusiasm for the industry and comprehensive product knowledge were in high demand, earning Douglas several 12-volt positions over the next two decades as a shop Installer, Salesman and Manager.

After more than 20 years in and around the retail sales floor, he accepted a position in 2012 with Digital Designs (now DD Audio) in their Sales Department. His deep understanding of the industry and consumer behavior allowed him to contribute both to the Sales and Product Planning departments, suggesting features he knew dealers, installers and customers would all appreciate.

Douglas applies that same “shop-first” mentality to everything he does. “It’s not just a job to me. I want to talk about cars. I want to talk audio, and I want my shops to get the answers they need when they need them. I don’t want them to wait for “normal” business hours.”

Day or night. Weekdays or weekends, Douglas wants to talk audio. He wants to hear his phone ring – and his customers love him for it.

Kevin Holden - SE rep

Kevin Holden’s experience as a 12-volt shop owner taught him one of the most important lessons anyone can learn: the value of personal relationships with his customers. “When a rep called or came through my door, I didn’t want a hard sell. I wanted a friendship. I wanted someone that would ask what they could do to help my business grow. Most importantly, I wanted someone that had my back.”

Like all the owners of Vault Marketing, Kevin had extensive experience in car audio prior to starting this company. Even before his seven-year sales career at DD Audio (formerly known as Digital Designs), Kevin’s experience extended to owning his own 12-volt brand: Atmos Audio. “Working for a manufacturer gives you a unique perspective into that side of the 12-volt industry,” says Kevin. “Being a manufacturer gives you an entirely different level of insight. Having been on both sides of the relationship, I can help my shops and manufacturers work together more smoothly than most.”

With Kevin’s intimate knowledge of the industry, he is ready, willing and very able to help with anything a shop would need to make a good car stereo store - truly great.
